Anyone have some good design ideas? I'll share a few I've been using:

    1. I use #6 1-1/4" drywall screws to mount the engine to the firewall. Fast, easy to change, and works great.
    2. I'm gluing my servos to two strips of foam board and cutting my servo holes extra large, then positioning my servos exactly where I need them at neutral for both the surface, but also for the right geometry with no subtrim.
    3. I'm building in some differential, so when I do 2 above, before I glue the servo mounting strips (the servo is already glued to two mounting strips, which I then glue to the wing), I make sure the servo arm is parallel with the trailing edge, then I remove the arm and move it one gear tooth closer to the trailing edge. This creates more up than down, and is totally repeatable. Then, and only then, do I glue the servos in. I can do this very quickly if I have to due to a crashed plane.
    4. I'm hot-gluing in a light-ply plate for the battery. This gives me something to run velcro strap under to maintain the battery. I lost one doing fast rolls on a vertical downline the other day.
    5. I'm putting the receiver on one side so it's out of the way of the battery. i't's just held with velcro.
    6. If you cut a little hole inboard and the servo whole outboard before you glue the wing halves together, you can pull a string through and route your servo wires internally with no external tape. Not sure it makes much of a difference, though.
    Give us your ideas!!!
